Winter is a wonderful time of deep introspection. It can support us in our healing process if we let it. It is uncomfortable to feel and see so much darkness, however this darkness is a part of nature and a part of our own personal nature. If we can bring awareness into the darkness, we can see Winter as a supportive time for healing. Through awareness we are then able to appreciate we are then able to appreciate and lean into this introverted time instead of resisting it. We can not be extroverted all the time. It is not possible to go full speed ahead all of the year. The Trees and the Bears rest, and so must we. In this two hour workshop we will use the powerful tools given to us by Yogi Bhajan (The Master of Kundalini Yoga) to bring awareness to our reaction towards winter and or own personal darkness. Through the use of Mantra, Pranayama, Asana and Meditation, we can provide our hearts with a larger capacity to hold both the light as well as the dark. We can elevate ourselves out of seasonal depression and anxiety. We can be in the flow with the cycles of Nature.
